Meet the CEO
Meet the CEO

All of us at Columbia Basin Health Association (CBHA) are proud to be part of an organization that has been able to provide equal access to quality healthcare to all persons regardless of their age, sex, color, ethnicity, national origin, or the ability to pay, and to be able to carry out that mission without interruption for 37 years.

We are especially proud of our patients, who credit CBHA with providing them with quality medical, dental, and eye care services, while assisting them with their pharmacy, lab, x-ray, behavioral health, WIC and support service needs.  We are proud for our patients’ broad-based, motivating support and their understanding of our commitment to continuous quality improvement, for both the services we provide and the facilities we build.

We are proud of our staff, more than 270 wonderful people who share their lives and skills to provide quality healthcare in our rural communities.  We are proud that in a small community like Othello, where it is difficult to recruit and retain quality providers, that we’ve never had to close our doors to our communities.  It’s a constant struggle to ensure we have the best possible people looking after our health, and although Othello will probably never be able to offer the glitz and glamour of larger cities, our short commute times, fine schools, beautiful weather, affordable housing, excellent medical and dental facilities, along with a community spirit that is second to none, makes it possible to compete for staff that we wouldn’t trade with any of our big city friends.

We are proud of our Board of Directors, without whose vision, support and volunteer spirit none of the accomplishments of the last 37 years would have been possible.  We’ve been able to accomplish a lot, but by no means is complacency setting in. We will continue to recruit new providers, train more students, add new services,  and implement new state-of-the-art technologies that enable us to provide continued service and high quality care to all the communities we serve.

We’re proud that you trust us with your healthcare and hope you will continue to do so.  As we reflect on our 37 years of service, we thank you for your support and willingness to advocate for access to care for the underserved.  We’ll be here when you need us; it’s a privilege to provide you with our services and for that I am thankful.

Sincerely,

Greg Brandenburg, CEO
