A Letter For Our Patients - Updated Info On The Coronavirus
March 9, 2020
Dear CBHA Patient,
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has many people worried, with all of
the news, information and misinformation creating an environment of uncertainty.
At CBHA, the health and safety of you and our staff remains the top priority
in everything we do. Be assured that we are taking every measure possible
to provide the best care to every patient.
We are in regular contact with the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC),
Washington State Department of Health, and other agencies closely monitoring
the situation and providing guidance regarding this disease. We have learned
that the best way to manage the spread of the virus is through preventive
measures everyone can take. Here is what you can do:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
- Sanitize or wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Stay home when you are sick
- If you feel you need medical care, please contact your medical provider by phone first to determine if it is necessary for you to come into the clinic
- Avoid gatherings of large crowds of people in close contact with each other
We have taken steps to minimize the spread of Coronavirus within our clinics. These include:
- Providing phone triage for patients with flu-like symptoms and other respiratory conditions to assess medical needs and avoid coming to the clinic if it’s not necessary
- Placing hand sanitizing stations throughout our clinics for easy access so patients can self-sanitize to prevent spreading the virus
- Establishing separate care areas for patients experiencing flu symptoms and other respiratory conditions, to minimize spreading viruses to other patients
- Taking extra efforts to clean and disinfect all patient care areas
We will keep you informed of any new developments regarding Coronavirus
which could affect you. Please know that across our clinics everyone is,
as always, committed to ensuring the best and safest care possible. Thank
you for choosing CBHA for your healthcare and we ask that you practice
the recommended actions above to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Sincerely,
Nieves Gomez, CEO
