Join us in welcoming our new ARNP at our Wahluke Clinic, Melissa Lohman!

She is originally from Connecticut, but is currently living in Moses Lake. She attended Duke University and received her Master’s in Science in Nursing. Melissa has prior experience working in home health, hospice, palliative care and inpatient oncology.

Recently moved from Portland, Melissa enjoys the small community and calm environment that Moses Lake has to offer.

“I was attracted to coming to CBHA because of the quality care they provide for their patients and the community as a whole,” says Melissa.

She is looking forward to working with a group of people who are focused on providing excellent care, and she is determined to always learn and serve her community.

Before becoming a nurse, Melissa was an elementary teacher. “I didn’t feel that I was affecting change as well as I wanted too.” She had worked with AmeriCorps for a year, and helped people that were struggling with different health issues. “I really enjoyed the work I did there, and it really motivated me to pursue a career in the medical field.”

When Melissa is not seeing patients she enjoys hiking, knitting, traveling and taking photos. “We have a beagle and 3 cats, so I love to be with them and my husband on my free time.”

We are happy to have Melissa Lohman as part of our Medical Team in our Wahluke Clinic, and we can’t wait for all of you to get to meet her!
