Educating Future Dentists
We are proud to partner with NYU Langone Health’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program to help train residents in general dentistry. Residents join CBHA for a full year where they get to work alongside our dentists, practicing and bettering their skills. Some of our past residents have even stayed with CBHA full time after completion of the program!
Some of the procedures they can do while under the supervision of our dentists are:
Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients during complete exams like:
- X-rays
- Dental cleanings
- Fillings
- Root canals
- Extractions
- Bone grafting
- Crown lengthening
- Crowns
- Fabricate temporary dentures/flippers
- Educate patients, and parents of the patients, on maintaining proper oral health
- Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans.
Meet our New Dental Residents
Dr. Justin Chung, DDS
Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Loma Linda, California.
“I’m excited to work with CBHA’s dental team and gain experience in implant dentistry,” says Dr. Chung.
Dr. Chung was interested in coming to CBHA for our comprehensive patient care and advanced dental technology. “The clinic is very up to date in the kind of dental procedures they can perform on patients,” says Chung. He is also happy to be able to complete his residency relatively close to where his family lives in Wenatchee. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Chung enjoys playing the cello, hiking, napping and playing video games.
“I look forward to learning more about dentistry, patient care, and working in a health team,” says Dr. Chung.
Dr. Jabir Khan, DDS
Ziauddin University School of Dentistry, Karachi City, Pakistan
“My goal has always been to provide dental care to the underserved community, and CBHA definitely provides that,” says Dr. Khan.
Dr. Kahn pursued AEGD at CBHA because of our cultural diversity and community! “I am achieving my goal of learning more about clinical dentistry and leadership, gaining valuable experience from a hard-working faculty like CBHA, and becoming a dentist focused on providing quality care for my patients,” says Dr. Kahn.
The faculty and the aim to serve the community attracted him to CBHA the most. “I truly believe CBHA has much to offer regarding polishing my dental skills and providing real-life valuable dental experience.”
“I am patient, kind, and passionate about treating everyone who is in need! I try my best to make patients feel comfortable and build a healthy patient-doctor relationship,” says Dr. Kahn.
